John LaLande School is seeking a part time K-5th grade technology teacher for the 2024-25 academic year.
Qualified candidates are dedicated, energetic, teaching professionals with at least a bachelor's degree in elementary or technology education and a valid teaching certificate.
You would teach digital citizenship, internet safety, keyboarding, and the Google Suite to students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the schoolMaintain confidentiality regarding school mattersPlan for instruction based on the approved diocesan standardsUse appropriate materials and resources for students to engage in learningUse effective instructional methods according to professional best practiceRespond to individual learning needsMaintain current and accurate recordsPractice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroomContact parents when necessary for either academic or behavioral concernsConference with parents upon request and respond to messages in a timely mannerDemonstrate professional work habits by regular attendance, honoring schedules/deadlines, organizing work, and conducting assigned tasks in an effective and efficient mannerCollaborate with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planningMaintain professionalism in dress and hygieneKnowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of subjects taught, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation Able to manage student behavior in classroom setting Able to motivate and engage students in the learning process Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Skill in pacing and differentiating instruction Able to use appropriate technology including computer, smart board, projector, handheld devices, etc.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Education or technology Teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement preferred Ideal candidate has ISTE certification Ideal candidate has 3 years teaching experience minimumAbout the Company:
